I got a Inspiron 1525 with Vista on it, currently it has 3GB RAM, and I noticed its 60% full when running the laptop. Is, how much is the max I can have it at for upgrade? 4gb or is the 3gb already the max it allows? Successfully updated my Inspiron 1525 to 6 GB Ram with Windows 10. Still have to try with 8GB Ram. This is what you need to do..
015012You can increase your computer memory by installing memory modules on the system board.
015012Your computer has two user-accessible SODIMM sockets, DIMM A and DIMM B, accessed from the bottom of the computer.

015012NOTICE: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal surface (such as a connector on the back of the computer).

0150123. Use your fingertips to carefully spread apart the securing clips on each end of the memory module connector until the module pops up.
